Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

The Partial Hospitalization Program is an intensive, structured treatment program for individuals with addiction use disorders who do not require 24-hour inpatient care but need more support than standard outpatient therapy provides.

It  typically offers comprehensive care during the day, allowing patients to return home in the evenings. The program is designed to provide a high level of care and support while enabling individuals to maintain some aspects of their daily routines and responsibilities

Symptom management: Help individuals better manage symptoms and reduce the impact of their conditions on daily life.

Skill building: Equip individuals with skills and strategies to cope with challenges and prevent relapse.

Support and recovery: Foster a supportive environment to promote recovery and improve overall functioning.

Transition to less intensive care: Prepare individuals to step down to a less intensive level of care, such as outpatient therapy, as they progress.

Providing a supportive environment that encourages peer support and socialization.

Assisting with the integration into community resources and support networks.

1-4 months.

Evidence-Based Practices: Treatments are based on scientific research and best practices in the field of of addiction treatment . Psychological approaches include but are not limited to: Motivational Interviewing; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Individualized Care: Tailored treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each  individual.

Multidisciplinary Team: Includes psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, General Practitioners, case managers, physiotherapists, clinical dietitians, occupational therapists, among other professionals.
