I am an Nursing & Midwifery Council, UK and DHA licensed mental health nurse with over 10 years experience working within mental health in a range of settings including acute inpatient and specialist community teams. Immediately prior to moving to Dubai to work at Ardens Medical Centre, I worked as a University lecturer in a UK University where I created, lead and delivered modules to student mental health nurses regarding both acute and long-term mental health difficulties. 

 

I originally qualified in psychology, achieving a Bsc (Hons) in Human Psychology and spent a year working as an assistant psychologist within a community mental health recovery team prior to moving to inpatient settings and completing my mental health nursing degree. Therefore, my clinical work encompasses both therapeutic psychological approaches alongside nursing skills, and I have qualifications and experiences in a range of modalities including dialectical behaviour therapy, structured clinical management, and motivational interviewing. I have also completed a qualification in team leadership and management.

 

I always remain keen to keep up-to-date with relevant developing fields and I am completing my masters in Neuroscience and Psychology of Mental Health currently with the University of Warwick.
