I am Dr. Sariah Daouk, the Head of the Department of Psychology at Ardens Medical Center. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in both New York State and with the Dubai Health Authority. With over 15 years of experience, I specialize in treating adults across various psychiatric settings, including outpatient, inpatient, emergency departments, and community mental health centers. My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Before my current role, I served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at the American University of Sharjah. My research and publications focus on cross-cultural issues related to treatment-seeking behaviors, depression, and suicidality, with a commitment to advancing mental health research and services in the Arab World.
