I graduated with my MBBS from Pakistan in 2014 and acquired my GMC (UK) license in 2016. My early career began as a General Practitioner in Pakistan, where I practiced for two years. In 2019, I moved to the UK and joined the NHS as a Junior Doctor in Psychiatry. During this time, I worked as part of an outpatient mental health team, assessing patients referred by GPs with diverse mental health concerns. My responsibilities included taking comprehensive histories, conducting relevant examinations, and coordinating treatment plans in consultation with a consultant psychiatrist.

In 2021, I returned to Pakistan to pursue specialized Psychiatry training in a 35-bed Psychiatry ward within a tertiary care hospital. Over the two years of my residency, I gained experience in managing both inpatient and outpatient cases with a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse. Our team also provided detoxification support for patients struggling with addiction to substances such as opioids, benzodiazepines, alcohol, and THC. This role allowed me to collaborate closely with mental health nurses, psychologists, and senior psychiatrists, honing my skills in comprehensive mental health care.

In 2023, I relocated to the UAE, where I am currently working as a General Practitioner. With a total of three years of specialized Psychiatry experience in both the UK and Pakistan, I bring a well-rounded, culturally sensitive approach to mental health and general practice.
