I am Dr. Hossam Basha, a highly experienced Psychiatrist with over 16 years of experience working across the Arab Gulf region, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. I am known for integrating evidence-based practices with compassionate care, addressing a wide range of psychiatric conditions such as alcohol and substance use disorders, psychosis spectrum disorders, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and anxiety disorders, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Psychiatry and Neurology, a PhD in managing addictive disorders, and am licensed by DHA, DOH, and MOHAP. My career began in Egypt at Agoza Police Hospital, followed by significant roles in Saudi Arabia at Abha Psychiatric Hospital and in Oman at Al Masarra Psychiatry Hospital, where I developed key protocols for addiction treatment.

Since 2014, I have been based in the UAE, where I have significantly contributed to Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital by establishing the Addiction Treatment Services Department and creating clinical guidelines. My career includes active participation in medical education, conference presentations, and COVID-19 response efforts, reflecting my ongoing commitment to advancing mental health care and community support.
