I am Dr. Maged Agour, a UK-trained consultant psychiatrist and Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists with 25 years of experience. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in both the National Health Service (NHS) and private healthcare sectors across various regions of the UK, including Cambridge, Yorkshire, and Birmingham. I am deeply passionate about community psychiatry and committed to supporting patients and their families within their home environments and local communities.

In my previous roles, I served as a consultant psychiatrist and later on as the medical director at the Erada Center for Addiction Treatment and Rehabilitation, where I led a multidisciplinary team of specialists. I also worked as a consultant psychiatrist with Maudsley Health in the intellectual disability services at Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital in Dubai and later on acted as the Clinical Academic Group (CAG) Lead in the Addiction Treatment and Rehabilitation Service.

I have several special interests, including neurodevelopmental disorders and addiction psychiatry. I am also particularly intrigued by the historical account of psychedelic drugs and the ongoing global renaissance of their medical research
